Wizard of Oz Birthday party for my daughter, Lillyanne

I designed these invitations with my daughter, very easy to do, and then had Vista Print print them up very reasonable cost.
For the rainbow, I borrowed a wedding arch and decorated with mini ballons. Made a real scarecrow too, with birds that chirped real sounds as the children walked by. I read the story of the wizard of oz.  I had riddles along the way and the children had to guess the riddles.  They would get a prize, basket, red plastic slippers, heart necklace, badge or courage, etc.
Wicked witch's castle, but she is the good witch:-)  Borrowed haunted air blown castle from a friend.
Yellow brick road ordered from oriental trading, personalized with "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" To the right, was the bounce/slide house for the children after the party.
The cake I made with the "Yellow Brick Road" theme.  I purchased the emerald city statue from Ebay, along with the figurines.
Purchased the play house for 25.00 off of Craigslist, and bought the witch's legs from halloween store.
The witch made a witch's brew.

We went on a trip down the yellow brick road, to find emerald city.  Actually had the part of Oz taped and played it in the inside of this tent that I painted green.
Pin the heart on the tin man.

Hot air balloon was at the end of the yellow brick road.

I made this hot air balloon pinata with paper mache and a regular balloon.
I let all the children dress up as their favorite character too.

  1. It was a great theme for the party, and you did an even better job in setting up the party with such cool ideas. I can imagine how fun it must have been for the kids. My daughter will also be celebrating her birthday next week and we’re also planning a birthday party for her. I’ve decided to rent a nice party hall at the nearby event space Atlanta.
